LATE 17TH / EARLY 18TH CENTURY, POSSIBLY KASSEL
The rectangular bevelled plate within a stepped and moulded frame with ripple-moulded bands and pierced foliate angle clasps surmounted by a pierced strapwork and foliate cresting centred by a monogram within a cartouche flanked by two putti supporting a coronet, the carving with small restored breaks and small losses

A very similar mirror, but lacking the monogram and coronet to the top, is in the Landesmuseum, Kassel and illustrated in H. Kreisel, Die Kunst des deutschen Möbels, Munich, 1968, vol. I, fig. 677.
