拍品專文

The present work depicts Myra Chigerovitch, also known as Myra Davis (1915-1994). She was an artist and shared a studio in St John's Wood and was friends with John Minton and Michael Ayrton, whose portrait she painted. She was also friends with Edward Wadsworth, who painted her portrait in 1946 (please see lot 109 in the Modern/British Art Online Sale, 17-24 November).
