Descriptif du lot

The presence of a fragmentary inscription, only partially readable, on the verso of the sheet in a 16th-century hand helps to support the dating of the drawing. The typology of the figures, with sturdy bodies, expressive faces and dynamic postures, together with the technique and the use of blue paper, seem to suggest that responsible for this work was an artist of the school of Verona.
