Descriptif du lot

Several comparable Kangxi bowls have been published, including one illustrated by R. Krahl in Chinese Ceramics from the Meiyintang Collection, vol. 2, London, 1994, no. 733, which was subsequently sold at Sotheby’s Hong Kong, 5 October 2011, lot 33. Another example is illustrated by J. Ayers in The Baur Collection, vol. IV, Geneva, 1974, no. A530, where the author also notes a related bowl in the Royal Ontario Museum.
