Christie's 14-16 November 2011 Geneva - Enduring Style
Christie's Geneva has built its reputation as a major auction centre in part due to the important private collections offered over the years: a tradition that continues this November with Timeless Elegance: Important Jewels from a European Family, and diamonds from a Royal House and the Susan Burton Collection of jewellery.

Geneva is the natural hub for Important Watches, and this month's sale promises additional excitement with the discovery of a fabled Patek Philippe, alongside 26 vintage complicated wristwatches by the marque. A charming story accompanies the Fine Wines Sale – an ensemble of the best Bordeaux châteaux from 1982 to 1996 representing an extraordinary birthday gift from father to son.

Important Watches - 14 November A Remarkable Discovery
Among the outstanding watches at auction this November, some of the most beautiful and exciting Christie's Geneva has ever assembled, one in particular holds a powerful allure: the pink gold ref. 3448 wristwatch, manufactured in 1968. For 40 years, scholars, dealers and collectors speculated why Patek Philippe only made the model in yellow and white gold, as well as two examples in platinum, but apparently never in pink gold. Its rediscovery by Christie's Geneva watch specialists lends a special excitement to the sale.

Fine Wines - 15 November Iconic & Historic
An emphasis on provenance is again the key element of the Fine Wines Sale, with several outstanding collections presented. Alongside the Bordeaux verticals, among them the greatest fine vintage wines of the end of the 20th century, wine-lovers looking for rare collectibles will find an extensive selection of large formats. Also in November, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of their most legendary wine, the house of Paul Jaboulet Ainé will offer a selection of the iconic Hermitage La Chapelle 1961, and a collection never moved from a Turin family cellar showcases vintages from one of Barolo's finest, the legendary Giacomo Conterno.

Featuring over 40 iconic pieces, a very special section will also be dedicated to jewels by "BVLGARI", the most extraordinary since 1993.
