The centerpiece is a rare Cézanne self-portrait from circa 1895, the only one still left in private hands. Never before offered at auction, it has been away from the public eye since 1937. Another spectacular work is Degas' Petite danseuse de quatorze ans. Considered one of the most innovative and important sculptures of the modern age, it is the largest and most ambitious sculpture of all Degas' oeuvre and the only one exhibited during his lifetime.
