Descrizione dettagliata lotto

The present still life was painted at Charleston, the home of Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant, in the late spring or early summer of 1951. The flowers (sweet william and aquilegia) are presented in a decorated mug with a round, probably raffia fan behind the flowers.
