In recent years, Hong Kong has grown to become Asia's most important auction centre. Since our first sale in Hong Kong in 1986, Christie's has been instrumental in further developing the market, becoming the leading international auction house in the region today. Christie's currently holds sales in Asian 20th century and contemporary art, Chinese ceramics and works of art, Chinese classical and modern paintings, jewellery and jadeite, handbags and accessories, watches, and fine wine. Our mid-season sales are held in the James Christie Room at Alexandra House and our major marquee Hong Kong week sales take place in May and November at Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre.

Christie’s in Asia Pacific creates exciting opportunities for passionate art collectors and enthusiasts to experience extraordinary works of art through live and online auctions, private sales, inspiring exhibitions and educational programmes.

Important notice

Despite our best efforts and the comprehensive health and safety measures put in place over the last few months, a Christie's Hong Kong staff member tested positive for COVID-19 on 19 July. We are pleased to share that at this stage, the colleague is not a severe case. We wish our staff member and family a swift recovery.

While the staff member had been working at our Alexandra House office and galleries, they were not present in either of the other two exhibition venues in Pedder Building or Jardine House during our auction period. Additionally, the staff member was not present on any occasion in the auction room, and was working in the lower traffic areas of Alexandra House. Furthermore, no symptoms were presented, and a mask was worn at all times.

We are taking the immediate following steps to safeguard our clients and colleagues:
•   Our office will be closed with immediate effect for a 2-week period, reopening on 3 August
•   Professional deep cleaning and sanitizing of the entire office
•   COVID-19 testing for all close contact staff

We would like to assure all our clients that ongoing stringent hygiene and screening measures were in place during this period, and the overall risk level was controlled. Any visitors who enter our galleries have their temperature taken, sign a health declaration form, and are offered a mask if they do not have one.

During this time, our top priority has and continues to be the health and safety of our clients and employees, as we closely follow guidance from public health organisations. We understand and apologise for any distress this incident may cause, and we are committed to providing the utmost support to all our clients.
•   For general enquires please contact our Client Services team.
•   For those who need to arrange collection or shipment, we invite you to contact our Post-Sale Service team
so we can advise on the appropriate steps and any impact to the delivery timeline.
