According to J. Chapman, The Art of Rhinoceros Horn Carving in China, London, 1999, p. 129, there are eight cups known by Hu Xingyue, who probably worked during the 18th century. The author illustrates the carver's seal on one of the known cups, an archaistic cup in the Museum voor Volkendunde, Rotterdam, no. 134. She goes on to mention that others are in "the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, and the Victoria and Albert Museum," while the remainder are in private collections. T. Fok illustrates two of these Hu Xingyue cups in Connoisseurship of Rhinoceros Horn Carving in China, Hong Kong, 1999, although both are dated to the 17th century; no. 27, a cup from the author's collection, and no. 41, a cup from the Mary & George Bloch Collection.
