Well centered likeness set against bold red background appears on the card which has four sharp corners and no mentionable wear. Only (4) have been graded higher. Gandil began his Major League career with the White Sox in 1910 and after a dismal start was sent to play in the Eastern League. He would make his way to the Washington Senators by 1912 and after proving himself more adept in both the field and behind the plate he again landed in Chicago in 1917 where he helped the White Sox to a World Series Championship. Though a skilled hitter and top-notch first baseman, his place in baseball's history is clouded by involvement in the 1919 World Series scandal: PSA NM-MT 8
