For similar treatment of the dwarfs' faces compare the seated figure surmounting an axe, no. 102 in Ligabue and Salvatori, eds., Bactria, An Ancient Oasis Civilization from the Sands of Afghanistan. For another figural stand compare lot 238 from Christie's London, 26 April 2006, where figures in loin cloths stand with their arms lowered.
