Lot Essay

This design, remarkable for its use of a continuous length of bentwood to determine the cubic form of the chair, presents a model that may have provided the inspiration for the Grand Confort club chair, designed by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, and Charlotte Perriand in 1928.
