A BEVERLY HILLS BEAUX ARTS COLLECTION (LOTS 344-402) Born into a family in the antiques business for three generations, this connoisseur dealer amassed a collection that demonstrates his deep knowledge of and appreciation for works from the Belle Epoque period of the late 19th century into the early stages of Art Nouveau. Edouard Bisson, French, (1856-1939) student of Gérome, is best known for his works from around 1900 that reflect the beauty of the women from La Belle Epoque. He won many awards, including a bronze medal at the Paris Exposition Universelle in 1900, and in 1908 he was made Chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur.
