A BLUE AND WHITE BEAKER VASE, GU
KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)
The vase has a bulbous mid-section between a flaring foot and neck. The central section is painted with fruit sprays interspersed with shou characters, between exterior scenes depicting deer beneath pine trees amongst rocks. The base has an apocryphal Chenghua six-character mark within a double circle.
