The tall, very slightly waisted sides finely painted in rich tones of underglaze blue with a continuous scene of a soldier gesturing towards a young lady dressed in long, loose-fitting robes, the soldier's attendant tending to his horse on the reverse, the scene set in a lush mountainous setting with willow and plantain trees and swirling clouds, all between lightly incised bands of classic scroll at the mouth rim and stylized waves at the base
