A BLUE AND WHITE MOULDED FLOWER-SHAPED DISH
Ming dynasty, circa 1570
The dish with two rows of overlapping petals forming concave panels, the inner band with pendent trefoil motifs, the other band with a spiral design, the central medallion with a lança character encircled by stylised lotus petals, the inner band of the exterior carved and painted as lotus petals, the outer band with lança characters in between flowers, small chips to petal tips, short rim hairlines, some foot polishing
8 1/8 in. (20.7 cm.) diam.
