Originally a conoid, later cut into a ringstone, engraved with a facing draped bust of St. John the Baptist, a cross to the left and an inscription to the right, IW\KP\k, an abbreviation of Ioannes prodromos, "John the forerunner;" mounted as a ring in a modern gold setting, the ribbed hoop composed of earlier ancient elements
