A Canton enamel teapot and a stand
18th Century
the teapot of pear shaped form, with spout formed as a birds neck and head, scrolling handle and short foot, painted with eight immortals at leisure among pine and rockwork -- 6½in. (16.5cm.) high; and a dish with shallow well raised on three supports, painted with a large central flowerspray within bands of scrolling foliage and leaves interspersed with three shaped foliate cartouches -- 10¼in. (25.8cm.) diam., (damages).
