A CANTON IVORY PUZZLE BALL
19th Century
The ball carved and pierced with figures amongst trees and balconies, with an immortal holding a double gourd to the top, a carp attached to a chain hanging from the gourd leaf, a tassel hanging to the bottom peach finial
8in. (20.4cm.) long
Together with a Canton ivory two section case - late 19th century, of gourd shape, carved and pierced with fruit and foliage, small section repaired - 4½ in (11.5 cm.) long (2)
