A carved walrus bone cabinet
Kholmogory, Arkhangel'sk Province, mid-18th century
The rectangular flared base on four bracket feet, with lower drawer, drop-front and double cupboard, overlaid with panels of floral designs, pellets in circles and interlaced bands, around fifteen carved plaques with hunting scenes, angels, a lion and a unicorn and other animals on pierced scroll grounds, apparently unmarked
