A CASED 54-BORE KERR'S PATENT DOUBLE-ACTION PERCUSSION REVOLVER
Retailed by The London Armoury Co., No. 1474, circa 1859
With blued octagonal sighted barrel, blued cylinder, blued border engraved frame stamped 'London Armoury' on the left side and engraved 'Kerr's Patent. 1474' on the right, signed border engraved back-action lock, patent rammer, sprung arbor pin catch, plain trigger-guard, chequered butt, lanyard ring, and some original finish (action defective, some nicks and minor pitting, cylinder built up between the nipples), London proof marks: in lined and fitted oak case with accessories including correct brass bullet mould and Dixon powder-flask (spring missing), the lid with Directions label
