With reblued 10 5/8 in. (27 cm.) barrels each chiselled with a monogram at the breech, patent breeches, tangs, detented locks and mounts each finely engraved with flowering foliage and retaining much bright case-hardened finish, and carved ebony hardwood half-stocks, Liège proof, in original velvet-lined ebonised hardwood veneered case with a full complement of accessories, the exterior with large shaped brass escutcheon with partially rubbed presentation inscription in French 'A Mousieur de C....
