PROBABLY GEORGIA, DATED 1913 AD
With double-edged blade with triple gutter, the hilt with rounded terminal and silver-gilt filigree scrolls set inside engraved neillo-decorated and silver-inlaid silver plaques, the sheath with rounded knop and suspension loop at top, the face with silver-gilt filigree scrolls, the reverse with engraved niello scrolling vine and gilt palmette terminals, with inscription in Georgian and date, lower section with silver wire, in very good condition

The Georgian inscription contains a dedication to the owner 'Paul' with an abbreviated family name ending in -dzeand is dated the 25th of December 1913, followed by an abbreviated makers name -arishi
