An entirely gilt model of this clock was supplied to the Royal Household in Stockholm on 12 June 1823 by Gerard-Jean Galle for which he received in return a quantity of porphyry worth 1350 francs (H. Ottomeyer, P. Pröschel, et.al., Vergoldete Bronzen, Munich, 1987, vol. II, p. 397, fig. 5.18.12).
