A Chinese cloisonne baluster vase, 17th century
the baluster vase, supported on a splayed foot and rising to the short waisted neck surmounted by a flared rim, the exterior decorated overall with the Hundred Boys holding onto meandering foliated floral scrolls supporting phoenix, all reserved on a turquoise ground, the neck and rim embellished with gilt, the later base applied with a cast six-character Xuande mark -- 17½in. (44.4cm.) high.
