A CHINESE FAMILLE ROSE BOWL
YONGZHENG PERIOD (1723-1735)
Finely potted with steep sides supported on a tall foot, delicately enamelled on the exterior with three cartouches of densely scrolling hibiscus reserved on a grisaille cell-pattern ground below a gilt flower and foliage band at the rim, the interior with a gilt basket of peony, lily and magnolia beside a dish of fruit
5½ in. (14 cm.) diam.
