Albert Sack describes this table as a Superior example: "It shows exceptional craftsmanship in the modeling of the cabriole legs and the contoured voluted knee returns, as well as the fine carved detail of the claw and ball feet. The top has a balanced and well-designed overhand and the apron is finely scrolled" (The New Fine Points of Furniture: Early American (New York, 1993), p. 275. For related examples see Morrison H.
