THIRD QUARTER OF THE 18TH CENTURY
The finial formed as a seated putto among flowers, the handles and feet formed as shells, the fluted body painted in the petit feu palette with specimen flowers and insects, the stand similarly decorated (some chipping to applied ornament, minor crack to rim of tureen, slight chipping to handles, faint glaze scratching)
The tureen and cover 16¼ in. (41.3 cm.) wide, the oval dish or stand 16¼ in. (42.5 cm.) wide (2)
