A Continental white biscuit figure of a shepherd
Circa 1780, most probably Buen Retiro
The youth wearing classical robes, seated in a languid pose on a large rock with his left leg resting on his right knee, holding a horn in his left hand, a small shrub, his broad-brimmed hat and a bowl at the foot of the rock, on a rockwork mound supported by an oval plinth base (left foot restored, right great toe restored, very slight chipping to hat ribbon and foliage, minute chipping to edge of base at back)
