The R.M.Y.C. Onyx is seen here in full sail on a starboard tack in the Bay of Naples. She was built in 1876 at Cowes by E.M.Ratsey for W.O.N. Shaw and is here seen flying the Flag of the Royal Mersey Yacht Club. Steered with a long tiller, in 1883 she was altered and lengthened by 6 ft.
