The case with brass lined inverted bell top (finials and top-plate later) and front and rear doors, carrying handle to each glass panelled side, brass bound plinth with bracket feet, brass dial with Indian mask spandrels to silvered chapter ring, matted centre with mock pendulum and date aperture, blued steel hands, subsidiary rings for slaan/niet slaan and speelen/niet speelen (latter currently not connected to the movement), rolling moonphase and tune selection to the arch (Scarremoes/Prins Eugenius MARS/dMerleton/de Boonties/Onr.Toomsweg/Malburgs MARS), the eight day movement with seven pillars (lower two threaded), converted to anchor escapement, Dutch rack strike on two bells, music via 21.5 cm. long pinned barrel and twenty-eight hammers on fourteen bells positioned across the top of the engraved backplate, trip repeats for strike and music; door key; pendulum
