A Dutch Delft baluster vase
Circa 1680, yellow monogram and II mark attributed to the artist Cornelis Aelbrechtsz Keyser of the 'De Twee Scheepjes' factory
The ground slip-decorated with a brown ground simulating lacquer, painted in yellow with exotic birds in flight above two Orientals on a fenced terrace with trees and flowering shrubs issuing from rocks, the lady standing and holding a fan in her left hand, the gentleman seated by a baroque table and drinking tea from a teabowl, between double concentric circle borders, the short neck with key pattern (some minor small areas of overpainting to disguise fritting and flaking to rim and footrim, slight scratches to surface)
