The case of typical form, surmounted by three giltwood figural finials, polychrome painted dial with silvered chapter ring, engraved gilt-brass centre with subsidiary seconds ring and date aperture, sectors for month and day of week, moonphase above VI, above a shaped recessed surround with an automaton scene with rocking ships, a track-boat, anglers and a windmill, eight-day movement, anchor escapement, Dutch strike on two bells; pendulum, two brass weights
