A fan painted by Mrs. Crewson (nee Fergusson) , the leaf painted with a pastiche of an 18th century fan, with shepherds and shepherdesses in a landscape, the verso with a monogram M.F.F (Margaret Ferrier Fergusson) composed of an owl and other birds perched on branches .and a motto "dulcius ex asperio", and crest of a bee on a thistle, with pierced bone sticks - 11in.
