Of rectangular form, very finely enamelled with four figures seated around a table below a tree, three playing cards, and the fourth with one arm around a serving wench holding an empty pitcher, his other hand holding up his wine goblet, another man watches the card-players whilst smoking a pipe, all set on a grassy bank beside a river with buildings on the far bank, a few details highlighted in gilt, small edge restoration

This scene is after 'Fêtes Champêtres' by David Teniers. This design is very rarely found on Canton enamel wares, but is more frequently found on porcleain, particularly decorated en grisaille and gilt, occasionally en camaïeu (see lot 61) and in famille rose enamels.
