MARK OF THOMAS KER, EDINBURGH, 1699
Cylindrical, with gadrooned borders on cover and base, the midband with ropetwist, the cover with cut-card spiralling leaves, the handle with cut-card grip and beaded rat-tail, the joins also with cut-card, the base with engraved monogram BM, marked on side near rim, and with trace of town mark on cover bezel
7¼ in. (18.3 cm.) high; 39 oz. 15 dwt. (1,238 gr.)
