A five-case lacquer inro**
Edo period (late 18th century), signed Toyo (Iizuka Toyo; 1725?-1790) and with cursive monogram (kao)
Decorated in varicolored gold, silver, red and roiro hiramaki-e, takamaki-e and kirikane with a large red carp jumping out of the water at the foot of a crashing falls, the reverse with a maple tree and sparrow, all against a nashiji ground; with an ivory netsuke carved as a fish with a human face with a smaller fish
