With swamped octagonal multigroove rifled sighted barrel retaining traces of gilt decoration at the breech, signed engraved flat lock with roller, rainproof pan and 'French' cock, walnut half-stock, engraved iron mounts, chequered butt, and iron ramrod, now mounted as a table lamp on two French leather-bound books, St. Etienne proof marks
