The hump back case elaborately engraved overall with foliate scrolls and on bracket feet, the Roman chapter ring with an engraved arch, with silvered and gilt overlaid engraved mounts to the centre of flowers and foliate scrolls, applied to a silvered and incised dial, engraved below with the vista of an oriental city, with further overlaid mounts to the foreground depicting horse riders amidst palm trees, shuttered winding holes to the solid rear door engraved with a scene of birds protecting their nest, the purpose-built twin barrel movement with large arched plates, cut bimetallic balance to the out-sized lever platform, strike and trip repeat on bell mounted flush to the backplate numbered 2956
