The breakfront demi-lune brèche violette marble top above a scrolled foliate frieze drawer with fleur-de-lis, above two long drawers set with looped acanthus handles, flanked on each side by a convex cupboard door, the angles with acanthus clasps, on short fluted legs

This commode is inspired by that supplied by Jean-François Leleu on 28 December 1772 to the Prince de Condé at the Palais Bourbon and now in the Wallace Collection, London (F246).
