Approximately 90 veterinarians, a third of whom are board-certified specialists, treat over 50,000 patient cases each year. The hospital is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to treat ill and injured companion animals in need of veterinary care. The Animal Medical Center has three divisions, each with distinct but intertwined visions for the Center's future. The Elmer & Mamdouha Bobst Hospital provides the highest quality veterinary care for companion animals - dogs, cats and exotic animals - in a state-of-the art facility. The Caspary Research Institute supports excellence in research to attain better health for pets and The Institute for Postgraduate Education provides superior learning opportunities in veterinary clinical sciences, through Internship and Residency Programs for graduate veterinarians and a Veterinary Technician Internship Program. Since 1964, AMC has graduated over 1,200 Veterinary Interns and Residents.
