Please note that this court waistcoat is embroidered with patriotic emblems, that is to say roses, thistles and shamrock. By family tradition this waistcoat is said to have been worn by the kinsman of the vendor, who was a Lord of the Bedchamber to King George III from 1799 - 1819.
