Shaped circular, the broad border applied with lambrequins and stylised strapwork on a matted ground, engraved with a crest, marked near rim, further engraved underneath with a scratchweight '235=5'
27 in. (68.5 cm.) diam.
234 oz. (7,272 gr.)
The crest is that of Thomas Meux, Esq. of Stoughton Manor. Meux married Elizabeth, daughter of Sir William Massingbred, Bt., of Gunby, co. Lincoln. He died in 1719 and his wife's brother William became 2nd Baronet, dying in 1723 at which time the title became extinct.
