Tapering sides, domed cover, fluted scroll thumbpiece, handle terminating in a heart motif, narrow applied girdle below a baroque cartouche engraved with the contemporary arms of Weston, base engraved with 18th century initials W over I*E and a later inscription in cursive script Hall-Mark George 1st 1719

Lot Essay

Although, as evidenced by the initials, the arms are for Weston of Staffs., these arms were also used by Ramsay of Scotland
