A GEORGE II GREEN GILT AND POLYCHROME JAPANNED TALL CASE CLOCK
THE CASE CIRCA 1720, THE ASSOCIATED WORKS SIGNED J WHITWORTH LUSSLEY
With projecting molded cornice above a blind fretwork panel supported by engaged columns flanking a steel and brass dial with subsidiary seconds and date rings, the movement with twin gut fusees, anchor escapement and rack strike to bell, the case with glass oculus and decorated with chinoiserie vignettes, alterations to hood, decoration largely refreshed
