MARK OF BENJAMIN CARTWRIGHT (I), LONDON, 1755,
Of baluster form with domed cover & chair-back thumbpiece, applied reeded girdle, profusely later chased with flowers, foliage & "C" scrolls, the reserve with presentation inscription to a Mr. James Hunter from the members of The Royal Standard Benefit Society in 1835, base with inscribed contemporary scratch-weight, "40 oz.= 10 dwt.", 9 in. high (23 cm.), 39.25 oz.
