MARK OF CHARLES HATFIELD, LONDON, 1727
Bullet shaped with overhead leather-bound swing handle, later chased with flowers and scrolls, later engraved with a coat-of-arms, the lamp with detachable cover, the stand on stylised hoof feet, shaped rim and later added rococo apron pierced with masks, scrolls and garlands of flowers, the lamp later engraved to top with Raglan crest, marked under kettle, inside cover and under lamp

gross weight 73 oz. 12 dwt. (2,290 gr.)
The arms are those of Somerset impaling Wellesley, for Lord FitzRoy Somerset K.C.B. (1788-1855), later 1st Baron Raglan and his wife.
