The superb collection of early English walnut and Welsh oak furniture, needleworks and clocks formed by John and Norma Parry was sold at Christie's, London, 24 April 1997. One of the most spectacular pieces was a highly individual walnut bachelor's chest with an unusual drawer arragement and a row of four drawers along the back edge. It was included in that sale as lot 270 (£265,500).
