The case with stepped flat top hood with carved and moulded tiered cornices, breakarch glazed side panels and brass-capped fluted front pilasters, the wavy arch trunk door with bone lozenge-shaped escutcheon, above plinth with raised wavy top panel and wavy apron, now with modern backboard, the brass dial with strike/silent ring in the arch, foliate spandrels to the brass chapter ring, matted centre with recessed seconds ring and date aperture, with signature plaque James Parker CAMBRIDGE, the four pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement -- 86¼in. (219cm.) high
