Lot Essay

Commander Fred Hart of Trinder House, Chipping Campden and his great friend, Charles Wade (d. 1956) of Snowshill Manor, Gloucestershire were avid antique collectors and travelled regularly on buying trips together. Both Hart and Wade made regular visits to Roger Warner's shop in Burford.
